I came up with this idea for a sort of Elseworlds fantasy version of the Wonder Woman mythos, but instead of Amazons, it's elves. Doc even did a picture like 10 years ago for the old website he had.
The only daughter of Arthon, high king of the elves, Princess Lauriel knew the Vale of the High Elves like the back of her hand. Raised in the mystically protected valley in the mountains, Lauriel could leap farther, dodge arrows in flight, and shoot arrows more accurately than any other elf. The only child of her widowed father, Lauriel knew the stories; how the savage humans, new to the continent and manipulated by the traitorous dark elves, had burned and destroyed the Great Forest that once stretched from ocean to ocean. The Elves had retreated to the Vale, a long valley in the middle of the forbidding Orod peaks, where they had cast the last of their great spells to protect the Vale. Peace returned to the High Elves, but memories of savage humans endured...
Millennia later, the Elves continued in their ways as they had since time immemorial. Those that lost faith, like Lauriel's mother, faded to shadow, but under her father's leadership, the High Elves continued to ward their valley, and live in peace with nature and earth.
Everything changed when a figure was chased from one of the many warded caves that surrounded the Vale. Wounded and still fighting, the armored man turned to face his pursuers. Standing in copse a half mile away, Lauriel and her friend Thorien were shocked to see the figure throw off his dented helmet to reveal a human!
So Elven princess saves human captain. Human gets healed but questioned. Princess wins tournament or Princess tries to sneak away with handsome captain (comic or movie background as you please
), becomes fish out of water in large medieval fantasy city/world trying to thwart the plans of the (dark elves, evil wizard, etc.). Saves the city and/or her homeland, decides to stay behind to adventure in this amazing and dangerous world of humans (and all kinds of other D&D-esque monsters and races and things).
Now when DC pays me to write this entire story, I will be rich!
Also this is my first image using my shiny new laptop and Poser 11. Pointers and advice welcomed!
