Wonder Woman, Season Four: The Hunter

Description

It had been the hottest summer in a century in Washington D.C. Tempers ran high, anger was in the streets; those things happened during any annual heat wave, but this year was different.  A Navy Seal was found, his corpse skinned and hanging in an alley. A SWAT team officer dead, killed with some strange weapon that leaves a perfect hole in her chest. When an IADC agent was attacked, Wonder Woman caught a glimpse of the deadly beast that had attacked. She knew what he was. In legend, they were called the Hunters who, when Apollo's Chariot flew close to the ground and the temperature rose, would hunt warriors for sport.

Diana and her people believed in peace and love. She would always give her foes a chance to do the right thing, even if sometimes there was little chance of that happening. Always strive for peace, but be ready for battle. When the alien beast left obvious clues for Diana to follow, Wonder Woman knew she was being challenged. Diana knew there would be no chance of peace with this fell beast. For the first time in Man's World, she brought out the shield and sword of the Princess of the Amazons. She loved and prayed for peace, but tonight, there would be war.

I loved the classic Wonder Woman because, even though she was an Amazon and warrior, she usually tried to talk first. It was all about peace and love, and if that failed, then the strength and skill in battle would take over. I really prefer this classic Wonder Woman over the current sword and hack 'n' slash Wonder Xena they have now. But that is me, we all like what we like!

Anyway I wanted to try a picture of the TV Wonder Woman with sword and shield, then imagined a Predator versus Wonder Woman story, which would be really, really awesome. :)

A very beautiful and dramatic piece of work here. I remember when you posted it and I cannot understand how it has eluded my favorites until now!
