Lunchtime at the Seminar

As the light turned green and the walk sign lit up, the blonde and brunette stepped off the curb. "No, you are absolutely right," the blonde said. "Dr. Parker asserts things that are just not true. Pilum are nice but they were a recent invention." She eyeballed a car pushing into the intersection as the male driver ogled the two beautiful women without having any idea that he was also ogling Ultra Woman and White Owl.

"Just because none have been found with lead on the shaft does not mean they never existed," the brunette replied. A smile crept across her face. "If only he knew he was arguing with an Amazon who has seen originals back on her island."

The blonde broke into an equal smile. "I am too young to remember Romans by far, but we do have some pila in the arsenal back home," she said. "Perhaps I should 'find' one and see his reaction. I am sure he would call it a forgery like all the artifacts I bring."

"Tania, he would argue that the sky was green if you said it was blue. He is simply jealous that an apparently younger woman knows so much more about ancient weapons and armor than his wrinkled old butt," Athena answered as they reached the far side of the busy street, filled with honking and cars and people rushing about the downtown Megapolis area.

"Yes sister," Tania replied, "men can be incorrigible and...oh!" she paused with a hand on Theena's arm as she looked up at the sign. "This is the place I was telling you about. Great lasagna!"

A hint of a smirk creased Athena's lips. "What, no Greek food?" she teased.

Tania rolled her blue eyes. "Dear Gods, what they call Mediterranean food in this city..." she said with a hand on her belly as she opened the door. "Let us eat something solid, Dr. Parker has two more hours to lecture this afternoon. We will need our strength!"

The door to Genovi's closed with the sounds of the two women's laughter, while across the street on a rooftop, two men watched..
