Halloween with Ultra Woman is becoming something of a tradition, and I love it! Over the years Tania and Doc have created some awesome scary pics for Halloween, and heres another fantastic pic! And, in reference to Tanias present dillemma, just look at how perfect Ultra Woman looks! (except for the boots, lol!) For the record, my favourite Halloween opus is from a few years back with Ultra Woman being groped by ghastly ghoulies in the graveyard, lol! Fabulous!
That's great! There's just something about two super heroines captured by a single villain... And the facial expressions are perfect. Extra points for those sexy high-cut costumes Happy Halloween to you!
I know...I miss her too very much and I am getting a yearning to get back into my Ultra. I keep putting it off because I want to finish my space story...but it is taking forever and I am easily distracted. I am wondering if I should just do a DC like reboot or something. Ugh.
Don't take me wrong you are doing great with the space adventure. What started out as a simple 'aliens abduct UW' have become both the angst of her daughter over UW's abduction as well as the angst of Clair replacing her. I just miss UW back in uniform.
I miss her too, very much. I love the story and Julia and Claire..but I miss my Ultra right now. I am thinking about changing her boots, I love the classic heeled boots, but otherwise it would be the same. Thank you
A regular person against a vampire--any vampire--they are probably automatically done dealing! Even "semi-D&D" type vampiric magical immunity to, or resistance against, damage can make vampires a threat to supers even without the mind control!--and with it--damn!
This pic sort of reminds me of a story of a young Submariner fighting a vampire lord back in the '40's. Namor was held nearly helpless much like this, with the vampire absorbing his blows pretty well. Obviously, Subbie survived, and without help, vampire's body couldn't take the strain and got busted. 'Course then the vamp healed in moments! Subbie and the vamp made mutual threats, but it was the Submariner who left the scene rather than continue the fight!
In the Submariner story I mentioned, young Namor had himself a girlfriend, who lived on a lighthouse on an island. Seems that lonely girl had a "Harlequin" romance with the super-Atlantean from the deep!
The vampire lord found out about this romance and used it to get at Namor. Vampire lord seduced the girl, in the battle, she was more concerned about the seemingly fallen vampire lord with the very temporarily broken neck. She rejected Namor with words to the effect that he was boring and left her too lonely. The vampire lord was SO much more alluring! I don't know if she was a victim of mindcontrol or merely fickle.
Namor angrily abandoned her to her fate of death or vampiric turning in his hurt feelings and apparently unwillingness to fight a second round with the vampire lord. I'm not sure that vampiric hypno ever crossed his mind.
Not one of Namor's better days. Though he was remarkably prudent for a man with a reputation of a prideful, reactive hothead.
Older editions of D&D: Absolute magical immunity to non-magical physical harm always bugged me!
