Derek Perlson: Thanks Maria. We're here with the great Ultra Woman at the unveiling of the 2010 Superhero Charity Calendar.

Thank you for joining us Ultra Woman.

Ultra Woman: I am honored to be here.

Derek Perlson: You were in the Calendar back in 2006 [link] and now you have decided to pose again for the calendar. Why did you decide to support the Superhero Charity?

Ultra Woman: I have supported it in the past when possible. I believe in many of the good causes the Superhero Charity assists. When myself and some friends were asked to support the calendar with the new production team in place, we were happy to do so.

Derek Perlson: So you believe that the scandals of the calendar are in the past?

Ultra Woman: I certainly hope so. I do not think anyone thought that the production team from two years ago would have been replaced by Cartel members and secretly attempted to kidnap the heroes and heroines. Even worse, the secret cameras in the changing rooms was a terrible travesty.

Derek Perlson: But you were not involved, right?

Ultra Woman: I...no, there was what I guess you would call a scheduling conflict since I was busy dealing with Professor Mutos. After the pictures came out, I and many others were reluctant to pose in 2009.

Derek Perlson: Why did you decide to pose this year then? What changed?

Ultra Woman: The new production team. I have great faith in the people at the Liberty Foundation. They handled the calendar with great poise and respect. I believe that mutual respect is how they got so many heroes and heroines to pose this year.

Derek Perlson: How did the photo session go?

Ultra Woman: Very well. I took a few women from the team to my home where we took the pictures on the beach of my home. The women were well received and I hope they enjoyed the trip as much as we enjoyed having them.

Derek Perlson: I almost feel silly asking this, but are you uncomfortable posing in a bikini?

Ultra Woman: Not at all! We Amazons do not understand the strange shame people feel showing their bodies. This is your body, it is the only one you will have, so enjoy it while you can. I realize not everyone has what people consider a perfect body. That is my only reluctance to do this; I do not want anyone, woman or man, to think they are inferior because they do not have some idealized body type.

Derek Perlson: Are you happy with the final picture?

Ultra Woman: Oh yes I am! The picture was very natural, just me walking down a beach on my island home. Not any unnatural posing, just me walking by the camera.

Derek Perlson: Will you be posing again next year?

Ultra Woman: If the Liberty Foundation handles it again, I will be honored to pose again. The money raised will help so many people.
